I was supplied with a 2 kg bag of Harrington's Adult Cat Complete Chicken with Rice

Available in 500g boxes and 2kg bags. 

Harringtons Adult Cat Complete Chicken with Rice is a complete pet food for all cats from eight weeks onward.

It has been carefully formulated to provide wholesome nutrition and contains no dairy, no soya, no beef, no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and no added wheat.

• No added wheat, dairy, soya, beef, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
• With Taurine to help support a healthy heart and eyes.
• With MOS a prebiotic yeast to help support a healthy digestion.
• With Cranberry, beneficial for urinary tract health.
• With Calcium and Phosphorous for healthy teeth and bones.
• With Vitamin E to help support immune function.
• With Omega 3 for a healthy supple skin and glossy coat.
• With Yucca to help reduce stool odour.

Composition: Chicken Meat Meal (40%), Maize, Rice (10%), Poultry Fat, Digest, Fish Oil, Beet Pulp, Minerals, Yeast (0.1%), Cranberry Extract (0.05%), Yucca Extract (0.02%).

Additives (Per Kg): Nutritional Additives: Vitamin A 21,000 iu, Vitamin D3 1995 iu, Vitamin E (alpha tocopherol acetate) 220 iu, Taurine 750 mg, Iron Sulphate 165 mg, Calcium Iodate 2.5 mg, Cupric Sulphate Pentahydrate 20 mg, Manganous Oxide 65 mg, Zinc Oxide 135 mg, Sodium Selenite 0.2 mg. Antioxidant - (contains tocopherol rich extracts - a natural antioxidant).

Analytical Constituents: Protein 30%, Fat Content 12%, Crude Fibre 2.5%, Crude Ash 7.5%, Omega 6, 1.7%, Omega 3, 0.3%, Calcium 1.4%, Phosphorous 1%. 

Harringtons provides the conventional benefits associated with premium foods.

Review

My cat Rowan – who you can see in the sidebar – did most of the reviewing and I took notes.

Rowan is a young male cat about a year old, quite a sensitive little chap but VERY curious; if you open a cupboard he’s in there straight away.

First Impressions

As soon as it arrived Rowan seemed very interested in the bag containing  the Harringtons Adult Cat Complete Chicken with Rice . 

What a terrific sense of smell cats have!

He gazed at me as if to convey he hadn't eaten for several days when in fact he'd been wolfing down his usual food a few minutes earlier.

I decided to leave the tasting until his next meal time so it was several hours before the bag was opened but once it was Rowan was barely able to wait for me to get the food into his bowl before he started eating.

Once it was on the floor he tucked in enthusiastically; a cats' thumbs up if ever I saw one.

Conclusion

I'm happy to feed Harrington's Adult Cat Complete Chicken with Rice to Rowan and will continue to do so.

Harringtons is not only available within the UK but is now available in France.
