Louise Brooks: possibly the most famous bob cut ever.

Louise Brooks

According to her autobiography 'Lulu in Hollywood'  the
publicity still below caused quite a stir
because  Hollywood actresses  simply weren't meant to be
 bookish.

Louise was both a reader and a writer.

She was an all round rebel against the system and even stated out loud that she 'Hated Hollywood.'

She was forced to take her acting career to Europe where she made her best known films 'Diary of a Lost Girl'  and

'Pandora's Box'  both of which were heavily censored back home for their honest representation of human sexuality and real life issues.
